Good morning, Mets fans!

The Mets’ offense fell flat and couldn’t erase an early deficit as they suffered a season-opening sweep at the hands of the Brewers in a 4-1 final. Tylor Megill held the Brewers to two runs (one earned) and three hits while walking three and striking out four over four innings. Francisco Alvarez and Pete Alonso both collected two hits, but the team left eight men on base. The Brewers have now beaten the Mets in nine of their last 10 meetings.

The sweep gives the Mets an 0-3 record — the first time they’ve started the season with three consecutive losses since 2014.

The Mets now welcome the Tigers to town, who are fresh off a sweep of the White Sox. Last season, Detroit swept the Mets in a three-game series at Comerica Park. Garrett Olson will make his first start of the year for the Tigers, while Sean Manaea will take the hill for his Mets debut. First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 p.m.
