On Wednesday, the Mets outhit the Phillies, but David Peterson gave up six runs and the offense left a slew of runners on base, which was the difference as the Amazins’ lost the rubber game in Philadelphia.

Now, the Mets head back to Queens for their season opener against the Miami Marlins this afternoon. Taijuan Walker will make his Mets debut as he looks to get his team back in the win column in their first contest in front of fans at Citi Field in almost two years.

Mets third baseman J.D. Davis‘ second round of X-Rays came back clean on Wednesday after he was plunked on the hand with a pitch the previous night.
