Good morning, Mets fans!

The New York Mets began their road trip with a big 7-4 win against the Cincinnati Reds. Taijuan Walker held the fort on the mound while Eduardo Escobar and Francisco Lindor stepped up at the plate. With that, the Mets are the first time in the National League to win 50 games (though the Dodgers also reached 50 later Monday night).

Anthony DiComo of MLB.com tweets that David Peterson will come off the paternity list and make his next start Wednesday versus Cincinnati. DiComo also noted that pitcher Chris Bassitt is a “long shot” to start Thursday, according to manager Buck Showalter.

Rehabbing Mets outfielder Travis Jankowski played five innings in a game for the Syracuse Mets yesterday. Jankowski went 1-for-2 with a walk and a stolen base.

The New York Mets are moving up outfield prospects Alex Ramirez and Stanley Consuegra to High-A Brooklyn.

The Atlanta Braves announce that they have reinstated outfielder Eddie Rosario and pitcher Tyler Matzek to the major league club. Rosario was placed on the injured list in April due to blurred vision and a swollen right retina and Matzek was placed on the IL in May with left shoulder inflammation.
