Good morning Mets fans and happy Sunday! The boys dropped a tough one on Saturday night as the Phillies’ offense finally struck against the bullpen.

Tajiuan Walker tossed five excellent innings of shutout ball in his return from the injured list. Mets’ starting pitchers now have a 2.44 ERA through 22 games. However, homers from Kyle Schwarber and Rhys Hoskins carried the Phillies to a 4-1 win.

Max Scherzer (3-0, 1.80 ERA) will take the ball against Zach Eflin (0-1, 3.45 ERA) as the Mets look to rebound and win their seventh consecutive series on Sunday Night Baseball. First pitch is scheduled for 7:08 PM ET on ESPN or ‘KayCast’ on ESPN2.
