Good morning, Mets fans!

Mark Vientos was placed on the injured list before the Mets game on Tuesday. In the corresponding move, the Mets recalled lefty Brandon Waddell from Triple-A Syracuse. The Mets also optioned righty Max Kranick to Triple-A and recalled the red-hot Ronny Mauricio.

The Mets and Dodgers had another extra-innings affair Tuesday night in Los Angeles, and it didn’t land New York’s way. The Dodgers pulled ahead 6-5 on a Freddie Freeman walk-off double, a ball Brandon Nimmo misplayed and usually would have caught. The team’s four-game winning streak came to an end as well. Mauricio went 0-for-4 and played third base in his return to the big leagues.

Tylor Megill‘s first-inning struggles continued, and Juan Soto went deep for the third time in four games. Check out the full game recap here.

After making an unremarkable appearance with the Mets this year, Ureña went on to pitch in six games for the Blue Jays, posting a 3.65 ERA over 12 1/3 innings with Toronto. Ureña recorded two outs against the Mets on Tuesday night.
