Josh Donaldson was suspended one game for his actions during an altercation with Tim Anderson on Saturday. Donaldson plans to appeal the suspension, and he was also placed on the Covid IL.

Davis got four hits, Pete Alonso hit a three-run homer, and Jeff McNeil and Mark Canha hit back-to-back homers to put the game out of reach in the eighth. David Peterson earned the win, going six innings and allowing just two runs and three hits while walking one and striking out six. Chris Bassitt (4-2, 2.77 ERA) will face off against Logan Webb (5-1, 3.54 ERA) tonight. First pitch is set for 9:45 p.m. ET.

The Mets made a bunch of minor league roster moves, sending outfielder Quinn Brodey down to Binghamton, and bringing outfielder Jake Mangum and Carlos Cortes up to Syracuse.

In addition, pitchers Joel Diaz and Javier Atencio were added to the St. Lucie Mets’ roster. The 18-year-old Diaz is the Mets’ 10th-ranked prospect.
