Good morning, Mets fans!

Per Mike Puma of the New York Post, Jose Buttó is expected to start Sunday for the Mets against the Royals. Buttó started the year in Triple-A after a strong 2023 season and spring training, but he has recorded one start for the major league team during a doubleheader earlier in the season. He went six innings, allowing one run on three hits, and it appears the Mets are putting their faith in him, especially with the decision to designate Julio Teheran for assignment.
