Per Will Sammon of The Athletic, Jonah Tong will be staying with the Mets after a strong season debut. In addition, the Mets are now planning to also recall relief pitcher Jonathan Pintaro from Triple-A. In 15 games and 25 2/3 innings with Syracuse, he has a 2.81 ERA. Sammon went on to note that the Mets optioned Zach Thornton as well.

According to Jeff Fletcher of SoCal News Group, the Los Angeles Angels have signed Taijuan Walker (former Met) to a minor league deal after he was released by the Phillies earlier in the season. Walker will report to Arizona.
Per Francys Romero, the Philadelphia Phillies traded minor league right-handed pitcher Andrew Baker to the Colorado Rockies in exchange for $250,000 in international bonus pool money, which brings them to $1.3 million. They are using it to sign a deal with 17-year old Korean right-handed pitcher Chan-min Park. Romero went on to report that the Phillies officially signed Park for $1.2 million, making the 17-year-old the highest paid pitcher in the 2025-2026 international signing class.
Patrick Mooney of The Athletic reported that Yordan Alvarez of the Houston Astros left Saturday’s game at Wrigley Field with a back spasm.
According to SNY, the New York Yankees have signed right-handed pitcher Peter Strzelecki to a minor league deal.
Per Charlie Goldsmith of Charlie’s Chalkboard, the Cincinnati Reds activated relief pitcher Caleb Ferguson from the 15-day injured list and calling up Zach Maxwell from Triple-A. In a corresponding move, Connor Phillips and Jose Franco are being optioned to Triple-A.
The Texas Rangers on Saturday announced that they acquired infielder Blaine Crim via waivers from the Colorado Rockies and optioned him to Triple-A Round Rack. They also transferred right-handed pitcher Carter Baumler to the 60-day injured list.
Per Taylor McGregor, the Chicago Cubs recalled outfielder Kevin Alcantara from Triple-A Iowa and designated Nicky Lopez for assignment.
The Arizona Diamondbacks on Saturday selected Tommy Troy from Triple-A Reno and placed outfielder Lourdes Gurriel Jr. on the 10-day injured list with a strained left hamstring.
According to Francys Romero, 20-year-old Cuban right-handed pitcher Yadier Zamora officially signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers on Saturday in Mexico. He signed for a $325,000 bonus deal.
