Young Japanese superstar Rintaro Sasaki has made the unprecedented decision to come to the United States to attend college instead of entering the NPB draft. The 17-year-old set the Japanese High School home run record with 140 homers. The 6-foot, 250-pound first baseman attended Hanamaki-Higashi High School, the same school as Shohei Ohtani. Early chatter indicates that the youngster could be leaning towards Vanderbilt.
