The Mets hired Elizabeth Benn as their new director of major league operations, according to Andy Martino of SNY. As Anthony DiComo of MLB pointed out, she’s the highest ranked female baseball ops employee in franchise history.
Martino also reported that the Mets are expecting Al Leiter to be a spring training instructor for them.
