Juan Soto left the Mets’ game on Friday due to left calf soreness. After the game, interim manager Andy Green said there’s “some concern” over another IL stint for Soto, who already missed three weeks earlier in the season with left calf soreness.

The Mets (43-61) fell to the Dodgers (66-38) 4-2 on Friday night. Sean Manaea pitched well, allowing just one run in six innings, but a late Kyle Tucker two-run homer gave the Dodgers a lead the Mets couldn’t grab.
Clay Holmes spoke to the media and said there’s “not a ton there” right now in terms of extension talks with the Mets.
According to Pat Ragazzo of Athlon Sports, the Mets have been scouting third baseman Teruaki Sato and pitcher Hiroto Saiki of the Hanshin Tigers in Japan.
Mike Tauchman completed his rehab assignment with the Binghamton Rumble Ponies and will continue on with the Syracuse Mets. Tauchman went 3-for-7 with two walks for Binghamton. He has missed the entire season so far after sustaining an injury in spring training.
The Mets’ revenue through the first half of the season was $149 million, slightly up from $147 million from a year ago.
