Good Morning Mets Fans. The New York Mets (7-5) wrap up their four-game set against the Miami Marlins (6-5) today as they look to split the series. Matt Harvey will toe the rubber for the Mets and be opposed by Dan Straily of the Marlins.

Today’s game has a scheduled first pitch of 1:10 PM ET and can be seen on SNY and heard on 710 WOR.

Yesterday, Jacob deGrom was on his game, pitching seven innings while allowing just two runs on four hits. The deGrominator struck out 13 Marlins while walking one but failed to earn his first victory of the 2017 season due to the bullpen faltering. Read more from Abbey Mastracco on NJ.com.

Manager, Terry Collins‘ move to pull deGrom from the game after seven stellar innings and just under 100 pitches for an overused Fernando Salas was the cause of the team’s 5-4 loss to Miami on Saturday night. After the game Collins defended his decision while looking towards the long term health of his pitching staff. Salas though has already now been used in eight of the team’s first 12 games. Jose Reyes was back atop the order for the Metropolitans on Saturday night and went 0-for-3 with a walk. The converted third baseman has hit to a .093/.170/.116 batting line this season in what has been a tough start Reyes to say the least.
