Mets GM Billy Eppler talked to the media in a press conference to give Edwin Díaz a chance to discuss his record contract, but usurpingly, Eppler was met with questions about the Mets incredibly important offseason. “We don’t need one thing to happen first before other things become a reality,” Eppler said when asked if the Mets would wait on a decision from Jacob deGrom to move forward with other acquisitions.
