The Dodgers stayed alive, taking down the Braves, who still lead the series 3-2. That game will be aired on FS1 today at 4:38 PM ET.

The MLB and MLBPA have announced that there have been no new positive COVID tests in the past 47 straight days, as reported by Joel Sherman for the NY Post.

Alex Coffey of the Athletic wrote an interesting article on the man behind the MLB player fun facts! Jeff Praught has accumulated over 80,000 scoreboard player-fun facts for the San Diego Padres’ scoreboards as the team’s manager of scoreboard operations.

Farhan Zaidi, President of Baseball Operations for the SF Giants, spoke with the media and discussed his offseason plans citing that he wants to put a playoff team on the field in 2021. Pitching is one of their focuses this offseason starting with re-signing Kevin Gausman and Drew Smyly. Zaidi also mentioned that he is going to get some experience on the team with a veteran signing to help the younger arms on the team. Steve Adams from MLB Trade Rumors had the article.

Adams also reported that the Kansas City Royals have a plethora of players who are arbitration eligible this offseason — 11 players to be exact. They also have two free agents they may want to consider resigning in Ian Kennedy and Greg Holland.

1999: Robin Ventura hits a home run in the bottom of the 15th inning with the bases loaded that would be known as the “Grand Slam Single.” The Grand Slam Single came to be when Ventura hit the home run but failed to touch all the bases before being mobbed by his teammates. What would have been a walk-off grand slam turned into an RBI single.
