Today, the Mets have an off-day after suffering another loss against the lowly Reds. Their next series will be against the Phillies at Citizens Bank Park on Friday.

Over the past few weeks, the Mets have just been embarrassing. They haven’t played with any energy and they’ve lost six out of the past seven games. They continued their fall down the NL East standings with a 2-1 defeat against the last-place Reds yesterday.

The day didn’t start off well as the Mets somehow managed to read their lineup card wrong, which killed a potential rally in the first inning. Zack Wheeler pitched six strong innings, holding the Reds to only one run. Adam Duvall took AJ Ramos deep in the tenth inning to give the Reds the game.
