Good morning, Mets fans!

The Cubs have called up top prospect Pete Crow-Armstrong to their major league roster. A former first-round pick by the Mets, Crow-Armstrong was dealt to Chicago at the 2021 trade deadline in exchange for Javier Báez and Trevor Williams. Crow-Armstrong is the 12th-ranked prospect by MLB Pipeline and is hitting .283/.365/.511 with 20 homers, 26 doubles, seven triple, and 37 steals in 107 games between Double-A and Triple-A this year. To make room for Crow-Armstrong, the Cubs designated another former Mets first-rounder, Anthony Kay, for assignment.
