Good morning Mets fans! Wednesday was a particularly quiet day around Major League baseball. Of course, the Mets have still not added any additional bullpen pieces to their roster, which was their biggest weakness in 2019.

Dellin Betances is arguably the best available reliever left on the market, but the Mets are currently balking at adding the former Yankee. Betances is said to be seeking a one year deal worth around $10 million, which the Mets can certainly afford after they restructured Yoenis Cespedes deal to get under the luxury tax by about $20 million.

Hopefully the amazins’ add a top reliever to stabilize the bullpen in the coming weeks, but Brodie Van Wagenen continues to be coy after stating that the team does not necessarily need to enhance this area (no way he actually believes this).

Now, let’s take a look at what else went on around the league yesterday!
