The Mets begin a three-game series with the NL West-leading Diamondbacks at Chase Field this afternoon. Kodai Senga (6-5, 3.53 ERA) will face off against veteran righty Zach Davies (1-4, 6.54 ERA). The Mets took four of their six matchups with Arizona in 2022, including winning two of three games in Phoenix. The Mets have won each season series against the D-Backs since 2018. First pitch is scheduled for 4:10 p.m.

The Mets swung a trade with the Mariners on Monday, sending left-hander Zack Muckenhirn to the Mariners in exchange for righties Chris Flexen and Trevor Gott. The team immediately designated Flexen for assignment. Muckenhirn was DFA’d on Sunday night after the team reinstated Elieser Hernández from the injured list. Gott owns a pedestrian 4.03 ERA on the season, but he’s struck out 32 batters against just eight walks in 29 innings, giving him an encouraging 3.01 FIP.
