Brett Baty had a huge night for Binghamton on Saturday, going 4-for-4 with a walk, three runs, and six RBIs in Binghamton’s win over Erie. Baty hit two doubles, a home run, and a single, just a triple from hitting for the cycle. Four of Baty’s six RBIs came clutch with two outs in an inning.
After splitting the first two games of the series, the Mets will look to take the rubber game against the Blue Jays today at 1:10 p.m. Rich Hill will be making his Mets debut, facing off against fellow former Dodger Ross Stripling.

As reported by Michael Mayer of Metsmerized, the New York Mets announced that they acquired outfielder Mark Payton from the Reds for cash considerations. The corresponding move was the placement of David Peterson to the 60-day injured list, as mentioned above.

- Stephen Nogosek to the injured list with shoulder inflammation.
- Rich Hill and Brandon Drury have been activated and are with the team.
- Nick Tropeano was optioned.
According to Michael Mayer of Metsmerized, the Minnesota Twins had scouts at the St. Lucie Mets game on Saturday night. The Mets have sown interested in Twins players, Jose Berrios, Josh Donaldson, and Taylor Rogers. Mayer also said one name he has heard the Twins are monitoring is right-handed pitching prospect Juunior Santos, who recently his 97 mph in his last outing.
