Yesterday, Noah Syndergaard faced off against the Marlins’ Opening Day starter and it just wasn’t fair for Jose Urena. Syndergaard showcased a 95 mph slider and an unhittable 90 mph changeup.
For the first few innings, Syndergaard quickly breezed the Marlins lineup. “Thor” ran into some trouble in the fifth and sixth frames, but managed to keep Miami at bay. Clinging to a small lead, Hansel Robles, Jerry Blevins, AJ Ramos, Jeurys Familia shut down the Marlins offense and gave the Mets a 4-2 victory.
