The Mets fired manager Carlos Mendoza on Friday, ending his tenure at the helm of the club at two-and-a-half years. He finished 206-199. Former Padres manager Andy Green took over as interim manager for the remainder of the season, and a full search for a new manager will occur in the offseason.
