Good Morning Mets Fans. The New York Mets get a day off to regroup and refocus today after being swept at home by the Washington Nationals. The team will wrap up their homestand as they get ready to welcome in the Atlanta Braves for a three-game set.

Yesterday, Zack Wheeler pitched a strong game after allowing a first inning grand slam to Daniel Murphy. Wheeler went on to pitch seven innings in total while allowing four runs on four hits as he struck out six and walked two. Yoenis Cespedes and the Mets both believe that he will be back in the lineup on Tuesday after dealing with hamstring issues. The outfielder took indoor batting practice on Sunday and signs were encouraging. He is sorely needed as this lineup has lacked some life over these past few games. The Mets have now lost eight of their last nine games and now sit with a record of 8-11. They are already 5.5 games behind the Washington Nationals for the division lead.
