Mets fan, an all-new episode is here!

This week, Mike and I are joined by the host of ‘A Pod Of Their Own’ podcast Maggie Wiggin, to discuss Ronnie Mauricio and the baby Mets, Kodai Senga‘s strong rookie season, Francisco Lindor‘s historic 30/30 season, David Stearn’s needs to extend Pete Alonso, Mike updates us on the Rumble Ponies playoff push, Maggie updates us on the ‘Dollars for Dingers’ fundraiser and much more!

After the fourth 30/30 season in Mets history, how should Mets fans look at Lindor’s tenure so far? For Maggie, Lindor compares to another Met great who got off to a slow start during his first season but was able to turn things around in a big way:

“I think It’s wonderful because Lindor has everything that should make him a franchise player. He obviously got off to a hard start from the get go, which I think set the tone for a disappointing year in 2021, and it just sort of all came together in a really negative way for a lot of people right away. But, the fact is that Lindor really has this Carlos Beltran like quality to him, and I’m hopeful now that he’s settled into the player we expected the last two seasons, people can see that he is special and an exceptional player. At the end of the day, this an awesome accomplishment, and Lindor is exactly the kind of player fans should be thrilled to have around for the next several years.”
