Mets fans, an all-new episode is here!

This week Mike and I discuss the end to the Carlos Correa saga, how the Mets can pivot from after losing Correa to Minnesota, what it means for Eduardo Escobar/Brett Baty, and much more!

How can the Mets pivot after losing a deal for Correa to the Minnesota Twins? At this point in the offseason, Mike thinks it would be tough to trade for an impact bat, but for now the focus should be on how the Cohen and the Mets handled the Correa negotiations and the impact it could have:

“Firstly, when you look at the deal the Twins offered Correa, I think it’s a bad look for Cohen and the Mets to have not at least matched it. Unless there really was something so bad and immediately wrong with the ankle, to not at least match the six years/$200 million doesn’t seem right after the Mets were already in agreement on a deal with Correa. Another aspect is that Cohen has absolutely set the Mets up for a grievance if Correa chooses to go that route.”
