The Mets’ offensive additions have been terrific and Mike talks about those new key cogs:
“Obviously they got Vogelbach a little bit before the deadline which they needed to because they were getting zero production from the DH spot, but since the word “go” with the Mets Vogelbach’s been getting on base, and the power’s recently started to pick up with an OPS over .1000. Now Tyler Naquin was supposed to just be a depth piece as an upgrade over Travis Jankowski in the outfield, so his power output has been a little more shocking…with only seven home runs before joining the Mets, he’s hit three homers with two triples and two doubles already since coming over which has been a really welcomed surprise.”
