It’s the Mets first trade deadline with general manager Billy Eppler.

So far New York has made two trades, acquiring Daniel Vogelback from Pittsburgh and Tyler Naquin from Cincinnati.

Last season at the deadline the Mets made a move to acquire Javier Baez and Trevor Williams from the Chicago Cubs for minor leaguer Pete Crow-Armstrong. This year the Mets have connected to the Cubs again, looking for a deal to bring catcher Wilson Contreras and reliever David Robertson to Queens.

Additionally, the Mets have been in talks with the Red Sox (catcher Christian Vasquez and DH J.D. Martinez) and the Nationals (first baseman Josh Bell).

The trade market is still heating up. We’ll be updating this thread throughout the next two days with the latest reports and updates on any Mets deals around the league.
