The Mets try to avoid the four game sweep and their fifth loss in a row this afternoon as they take on the Rockies. It’s been a struggle of late for the Amazin’s who have scored only 40 runs since the All-Star break, a major league low. Last night, Colon got roughed up towards the end of this outing after a series of defensive miscues from a non-optimal defensive lineup for the Mets. The Rox were able to pull away in the later innings while the Mets seemed to be searching the forest to find lumber to hit a ball with.
