The Mets started off well in Milwaukee but it ended in a whimper after a forgettable game in the broiling sun on Saturday and an error filled affair on Sunday. The Mets mounted a comeback attempt late in Sunday’s game but it was too little too late.

New York begins an eight-game homestand tonight. The Mets are 14-8 in their last 22 games at Citi Field and 15-12 at home overall this season. The Mets are 1-9 in their last 10 games against the Pirates, winning their last match-up on June 8 at PNC Park. The Mets went 0-6 vs. Pittsburgh in 2015.
