Game Two! The Mets and Phillies continue their four game end of June series today with a double header!

Aaron Nola and Taijuan Walker battled it out on the mound in Game 1. Nola dominated for the Phillies, tying Tom Seaver‘s record by striking out 10 Mets in a row early on. Nola also got the Mets with the bat, as his RBI double gave the Phils a 1-0 lead.

That score stuck until late, as the Mets rallied in the seventh, and a clutch RBI single from Francisco Lindor tied the game. After Seth Lugo struck out three in a scoreless ninth, Dominic Smith singled to propel the Mets to a 2-1 walk-off win in Game 1.

We’ll see if the Mets can keep that momentum going and carry things over into Game 2 tonight.
