The Mets (59-79) take on the Phillies (53-85) tonight at Citi Field. Last night saw Jacob deGrom implode, losing his first ever game against the Phillies as the Mets lost 9-1. Tonight, Matt Harvey was going to start on short rest after a bad outing in his return from the disabled list, but the Mets came to their senses and he will start on normal rest Thursday.

Robert Gsellman starts for the Mets tonight instead of the Mets bringing back Matt Harvey on short rest. Gsellman is 5-6 with a 5.60 ERA, 4.99 FIP and1.604 WHIP in 20 games and 91.2 innings of work. He has been spending time in Triple-A Las Vegas working on his craft after a disappointing season but was recalled today for the spot start. His only game against the Phillies this season was in April, when he went 7.0 strong innings, allowing three earned runs on six hits and a walk, striking out seven. The Phillies have the following numbers against him:

He is coming off a strong starte in Miami where he allowed one run over 6.0 innings. The Mets have seen both sides of Nick this year. In his first start against the team, on July 2nd, he allowed one run off one hit and four walks in 7.0 innings. Then, in August, he allowed six runs, five earned off seven hits and two walks from 4.2 innings. The Mets have the following numbers against him:
