Games Notes

The New York Mets announced they acquired minor league shortstop JT Riddle from the Reds. He is scheduled to report to Triple-A Syracuse and is not a part of the 40-man roster.

Nick Plummer is slated to make his first career MLB start for the Mets.

The Mets have yet to sweep a series this season. A win tonight would clinch the team’s first sweep of the season. The Mets have only loss two series this season (Seattle and San Francisco).

Through the team’s first 48 games they own a 31-17 record. There has only been three previous seasons the Mets have posted a better record though their first 48 games: 1986, 1988, and 1972.

Pete Alonso is only the third Met to drive in at least 40 runs before Memorial Day. He tied a team record for the most RBIs in the first 48 games of the season.

Let’s go Mets!
