Seth Lugo gets the start for the Mets tonight as they look to win the third game of this four-game series against the Colorado Rockies after losing 10-8 last night to snap the team’s three-game winning streak. Jason Vargas got hit hard as he allowed seven runs and nine hits in 2.1 innings while not walking anyone, but also recording no strikeouts. Nonetheless, the revived Mets offense tried to stage a comeback, scoring six runs from the fifth inning on, including two in the ninth.

Seth Lugo looks to rebound tonight against the Rockies! Lugo’s last time out was one of his first, worst outings of the season. Overall he is 2-2 over 24 games and three starts in 50.2 innings with a 2.49 ERA, 2.95 FIP, 0.947 WHIP and 153 ERA+. In Arizona, he allowed five runs from eight hits and a walk in five innings while striking out two and allowing two homers.
