David Peterson gets to start the nightcap against the Phillies! The Mets have had Peterson penciled in as the doubleheader starter for the last two weeks since the Met have had two scheduled doubleheaders. The question was what are the Mets going to do with Peterson after this weekend. Bullpen?

Then the Mets had back to back nights with injuries to their starting pitchers (Carrasco then Walker) and suddenly Peterson became a lot more important – especially while the Mets wait for other injured pitchers to progress through their rehab assignments (Megill, Lucchesi).
