This will be the first time Oswalt faces the Phillies in his career.

The Mets draw Aaron Nola who is 11-2 over 18 games and 116.0 innings with a 2.41 ERA, 2.73 FIP, 1.026 WHIP and 168 ERA+. His second start of the season was against the Mets where he allowed 2 runs over 5.0 innings and then six weeks later he allowed 1 run off 9 hits in 6.0 innings against the Mets. The Mets have the following numbers against Nola:

Notes

The Mets will play their second of three currently scheduled doubleheaders today. The Mets split a pair in Atlanta on May 28. New York also has a doubleheader on August 16 at Philadelphia. The last time these two clubs met in a doubleheader was September 24, 2011 at Citi Field when the Mets swept both games. The last time the Phillies swept a doubleheader from the Mets was September 13, 2009 at Philly.

Over his last 40 games, Wilmer Flores is batting .295 (38-for-129) with 11 doubles, five home runs, 21 RBI, 13 runs scored, 10 walks and a .340 OBP (dating back to May 4).

Jose Bautista has four homers, 15 RBI and 14 runs scored over his last 19 games. Bautista has drawn 20 base-on-balls in his last 21 games.
