
Zack Wheeler will make his second start of Grapefruit League play this afternoon as the New York Mets travel to the The Ballpark of the Palm Beaches to play the Washington Nationals. He will be opposed by Nationals left-hander Gio Gonzalez . The game starts at 1:05 PM and will not be televised nor on WOR.
Wheeler made his spring debut last Friday against the Atlatna Braves. He went two innings allowing one run on two hits, walk and one strikeout. He reportedly hit 95 MPH with his fastball in his first start since a rehab appearance for the St. Lucie Mets last season.
Also expected to pitch for the Mets are LHP Josh Smoker, LHP Tom Gorzelanny, LHP David Roseboom, LHP Josh Edgin and RHP Ben Rowen.
