After getting swept by the Blue Jays during the two-game set in Toronto, the New York Mets head to Atlanta to open a three-game series against the Braves at Turner Field.

Jacob deGrom (7-4, 2.33) gets the nod for the Mets and is expected to face RHP Matt Wisler who will be making his major league debut with the Braves.

The Mets are 10-21 on the road this season, including 3-13 in the team’s last 16 road games. New York’s .323 road winning percentage is the second-worst in the majors.

Since June 21, 2014, Jacob deGrom has posted a 2.15 ERA which is the lowest mark in the majors. Clayton Kershaw is second (2.18). Minimum 150.0 innings.

The 2015 Mets: exciting at home, just don’t watch them on the road. Last night the Mets got essentially blown-out by the Blue Jays 7-1 and were outscored 15-1 for the two games in Toronto. Tonight they’ll try to put it together and make a statement by winning a game on the road against the Braves.

The right-hander has spent his minor league time from 2011 to 2014 in the San Diego system.
