dillon geeTonight, the Mets open up a 3-game series against the Atlanta Braves. Dillon Gee (4-6, 3.84) will face off against lefty Alex Wood (9-9, 3.05) as the Mets look to some home cooking to get them back on their feet.

In his last start, Gee received the loss in the Mets’ 6-2 defeat against the Oakland Athletics on August 19th at the Oakland Coliseum. He pitched 5.2 innings, allowing four earned runs and a season-high eight hits, the most hits Gee has allowed since allowing nine hits against the Nationals on September 10th, 2013 at Citi Field.

Daniel Murphy will not start in tonight’s game and plans to see a doctor on Tuesday. For now he is considered day-to-day. David Wright is also being held out of the lineup with a sore shoulder.
