Matt Harvey has been suspended for three games without pay for violating club rules, Sandy Alderson announced Sunday. Harvey will not start Sunday, as scheduled. Alderson did not take questions and did not say what Harvey was suspended for. Adam Wilk will start in Harvey’s place.

Adam Wilk will be making his first start since 2012 when he was with the Detroit Tigers. He has a 6.40 ERA in nine appearances including three starts. He has not faced any current Marlins.

The Mets have scored five or more runs in nine straight games. It’s tied for the second-longest stretch in club history and the longest such they established a club record scoring five or more runs in 12 consecutive games from August 11-24, 2007.

Additionally, the Mets have scored at least seven runs in each of their last five games, the second-longest streak in franchise history. New York scored seven or more runs in team record six consecutive contests from September 18-23, 2007.
