LHP Madison Bumgarner (2-2, 3.64) vs. RHP Noah Syndergaard (2-0, 1.69)
SNY • MLBN • WOR 710 AM • ESPN 1050 AM

The New York Mets (15-7) and San Francisco Giants (12-13) will hope to get today’s game in if the weather cooperate. Heavy rains are expected for most of the day. The Mets are looking for their 9th straight win, and 3rd consecutive sweep.

Today, however, will be the toughest test of the last couple of weeks for the Mets as they find themselves in a marquee pitching matchup between Madison Bumgarner and Noah Syndergaard. This should make for a classic pitcher’s duel.

Interesting to note that Michael Conforto is batting third against the tough left-hander Madison Bumgarner, with Curtis Granderson on the bench. Asdrubal Cabrera gets his first day off of the season at shortstop.
