The New York Mets and Toronto Blue Jays play the second of two games at Citi Field tonight before they head north of the border to play two more Wednesday and Thursday.

Matt Harvey (6-4, 3.62) takes the mound for the Mets and will be opposed by fellow righty Scott Copeland (1-0, 0.90) for the Jays. First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 PM.

Harvey is 1-3 with a 7.20 ERA over his last four starts after beginning the year 5-1 with a 1.98 ERA in his first eight starts. He has also allowed eight home runs in his last four starts after allowing just eight home runs over his previous 26 starts.

Hansel Robles worked 2.0 innings last night to earn his first major league win, while on Sunday, Sean Gilmartin pitched 2.0 shutout innings vs. Atlanta for his first major league victory.

The last time two Mets earned their first win in consecutive games was in 1979: Jesse Orosco on June 22 at Philadelphia and Mike Scott on April 24 vs. San Francisco.

Wilmer Flores has 16 RBI in his last 20 games and his team leading 31 RBI this year are the fifth most among MLB shortstops. His 10 home runs are tied with St. Louis’ Jhonny Peralta for the most by a major league shortstop this year.

Ron Darling will make his regular-season Play-By-Play debut on SNY during the two games in Toronto and the weekend series in Atlanta while Gary Cohen is on vacation.

Last night was fun, wasn’t it? Let’s do it again. Syndergaard was excellent over 7 innings allowing only earned run. The only problem was that the Mets bats didn’t score anything.

In the bottom of the 7th, the Mets were able to scratch out two runs, but the Jays came right back and tied the game of Jeurys Familia.

In the 11th the Blue Jays were able to get the go ahead run but the Mets, and specifically Ruben Tejada, were able to get an extra out in the bottom of the frame which then led to two consecutive hits and two runs.

Tonight Matt Harvey looks to lead the Mets to victory. Matt is 6-4 over 12 games and 79.2 innings with a 3.62 ERA. Matt is coming off the second start this season where he allowed 7 ER, the second time he has done this in his last 4 starts.

Harvey has never faced the Blue Jays before and the only Blue Jay that has seen him in a major league game is Carrera who is 0-1. Let’s see what a fired up and angry Matt Harvey can do!

The Mets bats will get a crack at Scott Copeland who is 1-0 over his first three major league game that includes one start. He has pitched 10.0 innings with a 0.90 ERA. The one run he has allowed came in his last outing as he tossed 7.0 innings only allowing that run against the Marlins. In the minors this year he had an ERA over 1.97 over 45.2 innings with a 4-1 record over 8 games. This will be the first time Copeland faces the Mets or anyone on the Mets roster.

Lets Go Mets!
