It’s finally time for our Mets Merized Online 2010 Season Predictions. This year, nine of us will look into our crystal balls and try to foresee the things that will take place between the white lines and shape this new baseball season. As always, we beginning with Part One, our 2010 Final Standings and Post Season Predictions.

It looks like the only thing we were all unanimous on was the St. Louis Cardinals winning the NL Central division. Also, all of us project that the Phillies and Yankees will be in the post season with three writers believing that the Yankees will repeat as World Series Champs.

Dave has the Tampa Bay Rays pegged for the ultimate Cinderella season and winning it all, while Rob sees the Florida Marlins making some noise and winning the Wild Card in the NL.

Unless you want to call the Colorado Rockies a sleeper, I didn’t really go out on a limb with my choices. However, if I had to pick one team that I think could be a huge surprise this season and maybe even make the post season if everything breaks right, the Kansas City Royals are the team to watch. They have two impact type players in Butler and Gordon that could have breakthrough seasons, and they already have a great ace in Zach Grienke and a formidable closer in Joakim Soria.

We’d love for you to share your own predictions with us in the comments section, including your sleepers too.

Look for Part Two of our 2010 Predictions to be posted on Monday. In it we will include our selections for all the 2010 MLB Award Winners. Check out who we think will take home all of the hardware at the end of the season, and why I’m certain a New York Met will be the unanimous choice for Comeback Player of the Year.  As always, you’ll always find a few interesting surprises neatly tucked in as well.

On Tuesday, we will conclude with Part Three, which will feature our Mets Team Predictions plus MLB Sleepers and Busts.

Enjoy!
