Here are the projected arbitration salaries for the New York Mets that were just released by MLB Trade Rumors for the upcoming offseason.
The Mets have 11 players that are eligible for salary arbitration:
- Eric Young Jr. (5.052) – $600K
- Buddy Carlyle (5.002) – $1.1MM
- Ruben Tejada (4.171) – $2.5MM
- Lucas Duda (4.137) – $6.8MM
- Addison Reed (4.002) – $5.7MM
- Carlos Torres (3.114) – $800K
- Anthony Recker (3.092) – $700K
- Jenrry Mejia (3.085) – $2.6MM
- Matt Harvey (3.072) – $4.7MM
- Jeurys Familia (3.030) – $3.3MM
- Josh Edgin (3.015) – $600K
About half of the players on that list will likely be non-tendered including Young, Edgin, Carlyle, Torres and Recker. I would include Mejia in that category as well.
It will be interesting to see if the Mets dance with Addison Reed who will get close to $6 million dollars.
Huge pay days are in store for Lucas Duda, Matt Harvey and Jeurys Familia.
This is going to be an incredibly interesting offseason and I’m very interested in seeing how Sandy Alderson navigates this Winter no matter what happens in the postseason.
Potential free agents include Daniel Murphy, Yoenis Cespedes, Tyler Clippard, Juan Uribe, Kelly Johnson, and Bartolo Colon who could all be gone and will need to be replaced. That’s a lot of change or upheaval for the 2015 World Series NL East Champs. This offseason is going to be epic!
