Rangers slugger Joey Gallo was traded to the Yankees on Wednesday, as Levi Weaver of The Athletic first reported.

Gallo, 27, has spent his entire professional career with the Rangers. They drafted him 39th overall in 2012, and he made his major league debut in 2015. Since then, he’s put up a peculiar .211/.336/.497 batting line.

This season with the Rangers, he was batting .223/.379/.490, good for a 140 wRC+ and a career-high 3.4 fWAR. While he hits for a low average, he has a career 14.9% walk rate and .286 ISO.

Evan Grant of Dallas Morning News reported that the Rangers are also sending left-handed pitcher John King to the Yankees, and will be receiving six prospects in the deal.

Lindsey Adler of The Athletic reported that the names expected to be included in the deal are Trevor Hauver, Ezequiel Duran, Everson Pereira, Randy Vasquez, Glen Otto “and possibly one more.” Jeff Passan of ESPN added that Josh Smith is in the deal as well.
