According to a report from Mark Feinsand of MLB.com, right-handed reliever Will Harris and veteran catcher Robinson Chirinos could be the next two dominoes of the free agent market to fall.
Harris, 35, had a 1.50 ERA, 3.15 FIP, 0.93 WHIP, four saves, and 4.43 SO/BB in 60 innings for the Houston Astros in 2019. He allowed only 42 hits, 14 walks, and six home runs in that span, while striking out 62.
In eight big league seasons, the former Rockies draft pick has a 2.84 ERA and 422 strikeouts in 396 1/3 innings. Harris held lefties to a .490 OPS last season and has limited them to a .560 OPS during his career.
The Mets were reportedly showing interest in Chirinos earlier this offseason. The 35-year-old is coming off a career best 2.3 fWAR, 3.0 fielding runs above average and slashed .238/.347/.443 with 17 home runs with the Astros in 2019.
