Reporters gathered around Houston Astros’ owner Jim Crane on Wednesday at the MLB Owner Meetings hoping to get comments on the 2017 sign-stealing scandal that has been a hot topic of discussion around the game.

However, as detailed by Laura Albanese of Newsday, reporters were separated from the owner as he had a sheriff around him and when asked to speak with reporters, Crane completely evaded the subject.

“If you want to talk about baseball, I’ll talk about baseball,” Crane said. He was then immediately escorted by the sheriff away from reporters.

MLB commissioner Rob Manfred commented on the matter on Tuesday.
