New York Mets’ center fielder Brandon Nimmo is hanging with some strong company.

On Saturday, MLB Network ranked Nimmo No. 9 in the channel’s annual Top 10 Center Fielders Right Now! program.

The 26-year-old ranked as the No. 6 right fielder in baseball last year. Despite being injured for most of the 2019 campaign, Nimmo put up 4.5 fWAR in 2018, while registering a 148 wRC+, .385 wOBA and a .263/.404/.483 triple slash.

The program, which is hosted by Brian Kenny among other MLB analysts, takes the last two seasons into account with a high emphasis placed on the most recent campaign when compiling their list.

The next four Saturdays on MLB Network will see the top 10 for the remaining positions rolled out, minus left and center field which were revealed yesterday.
