According to MetsMerized’s Jack Ramsey, the expectation is that the Mets and Francisco Lindor are expected to continue their communications on a possible extension throughout the day. The source expects that David Meter, Francisco Lindor’s agent, and Mets brass will stay in touch as they try and figure out a contract that works for both sides.

This report comes less than an hour after Deesha Thosar of the New York Daily News reported that the Mets and Lindor were not expected to negotiate today and were at a “stalemate”.

According to Mets beat writer Tim Healey of Newsday, a source has told him, “No talks and non expected” between the Mets and Lindor.

Metsmerized’s Pat Ragazzo has also reported that the Mets are still negotiating with Lindor, as a source told him, “They’re talking as we speak, I’m sure (of it).”

MeterSports and the Mets have roughly 24 hours to come to an agreement on a contract.
