In his first home game as a New York Met, left fielder Michael Cuddyer said he’s played in many regular season games, but none that gave him the chills after the Mets turned a double play in the ninth inning.

“Looking in the crowd and seeing people high-fiving each other, the excitement and the passion, it was one of the first times in a regular season game I had chills.”

Citi Field erupted after newly anointed closer Jeurys Familia walked the leadoff batter to start the ninth inning, but then induced Grady Sizemore to ground into a 3-6-1 double play.

Familia would go onto converting his second save of the season in as many chances and the crowd responded in boisterous applause.

It was quite the scene at Citi Field.
