Michael Conforto may be close to getting back to where he was in 2015. Conforto came into Tuesday’s game just 1-for-15 on the homestand, but showed signs of breaking out of what has been a season long slump.

The sweet swinging lefty went 2-for4 on the night with two doubles and a RBI. His swing looked like the one we had come to love last season, possibly showing that he is nearing getting back to form.

“I feel like I’m staying through the ball,” Conforto said. “And there have been a lot of good signs the last couple of days, so it has been fun.” (NY Post)

Conforto has had a rough season for himself, hitting to a .228/.306/.427 slash line. He has hit 10 homers on the season to go along with 32 RBI. He is still a key to this offense, one that needs him badly to succeed.

He is now 3-for-6 with a walk and two RBI in his previous two games. Conforto’s big hit on Monday was also a double, off of lefty, CC Sabathia. Conforto will look to keep this most recent success going as the Subway Series moves to the Bronx, Wednesday night.
