Anthony DiComo of MLB.com tweeted a video of Michael Conforto long-tossing down in Port St. Lucie — A most welcomed sight.

Conforto, 24, dislocated his left shoulder at the end of the 2017 season and underwent major surgery. Previous estimates put him back at Citi Field around May 1st. There have been no reports as of yet that he has swung a bat.

The outfielder broke out in a big way in 2017 before his injury, slashing .279/.384/.555 with 27 home runs and 68 RBIs, posting a 146 wRC+ and 4.4 fWAR.

Conforto is an enormous question mark going into the 2018 season. The Mets plan to contend, and they are a far better team if he is healthy and swinging the bat as well as he can. It is important not to rush his rehab, but it’s a sight for sore eyes seeing him on a baseball field.
